Chemical Engineer & Industrial Solutions Specialist
Fourteen years of solving water. Not theoretically — in the field, where the chemistry has to work.
— Profile, 2026
At the intersection of rigorous chemistry and industrial reality, Tayfun Evcil has built a career that refuses to separate theory from consequence. Water treatment isn't abstract when it's keeping a geothermal power plant online or protecting a steel mill's cooling circuit from scale.
Currently at Solenis as an Industrial Solutions Applications Specialist, he designs chemical treatment programs for some of the most demanding environments in the MEA and CIS regions — from SWRO desalination systems to high-temperature boiler circuits and large-scale cooling loops. Every program is backed by verified field data, never approximated.
Beyond the field, Tayfun builds his own tools — Python-based simulation platforms that run water chemistry models in-house, cutting the dependency on expensive third-party software. And increasingly, he uses AI not as a shortcut but as a force multiplier: faster documentation, better proposals, sharper technical reports.

A career built through multinational corporations and critical industries — each role adding a layer of depth to an already technically demanding practice. From fertilizer production to geothermal water chemistry to regional industrial account management, the thread is always the same: make systems work reliably in the real world.
Designing and implementing chemical treatment programs for industrial water systems across the MEA and CIS regions. Full technical responsibility from chemical selection and dosage program design through field validation and formal documentation — including SWRO, cooling water, and steam-boiler circuits. Heavy use of AI tools to produce faster, higher-quality technical proposals.
Technical and commercial management of water treatment programs for industrial clients across Turkey and the wider region. Developed deep expertise in geothermal plant chemistry, RO pre-treatment, and large-scale cooling systems while managing key accounts in steel, energy, and chemical manufacturing sectors.
Foundational years in large-scale fertilizer production — building the process chemistry instincts and plant operations experience that continue to inform a systems-level approach to all technical work.
Full technical and commercial documentation delivered simultaneously for two major industrial facilities — an energy plant and a steel complex. Scope covered SWRO systems, steam-boiler circuits, and large-scale cooling water loops. Complete chemical dosage tables built strictly from verified field data. No estimates, no fabrications. Branded technical reporting from chemical selection rationale through to commercial offer.
Built a full industrial process simulation platform with a CO₂/H₂S/NH₃/SO₂ stripping module. Henry's Law + Van't Hoff correction, extended Debye-Hückel activity coefficients, pH-dependent speciation, Kremser equation — an in-house OLI Systems parallel.
Comprehensive illustrated handbook featuring full technical SVG diagrams. Covers calcium sulfate scaling dynamics, inhibited vs. uninhibited system chemistry, and complete treatment program design methodology.
Systematic commodity vs. proprietary chemical classification for a produced water treatment project. Full supplier inquiry documentation and procurement communication strategy across multiple chemical categories.
Open to technical collaborations, consulting projects, and new industrial challenges. Available for MEA & CIS engagements.
